Assistant Accountant
You will report to the Group Financial Controller and be based at our Perth office in Western Australia. As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the financial operations of two business units. Your responsibilities include preparing, analysing, and maintaining financial records, while contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. You will play an active role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
This position offers the opportunity to develop professionally while helping to improve processes, drive efficiency, and support strategic decision‑making across the applicable business units.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, working towards obtaining CA or CPA certification.
Experience with general ledger activities and month-end and year-end close processes.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Copilot)
Experience using SAP Concur, Microsoft Great Plains and Customer Relationship Manager (Dynamics 365)
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Current National Police Clearance.
Experience using large language models or AI-driven applications - desirable
