System Administrator
You will report to the Infrastructure Manager and be based at our Perth office in Australia. As a System Administrator, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of Acquire's IT infrastructure, supporting internal users and contributing to a well-managed and scalable technology environment.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a System Administrator role
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field desirable
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy
Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure AD (Entra ID) environments
Experience managing Azure workloads
Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms
Experience with network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
Exposure to backup and disaster recovery solutions and processes
Experience with IT ticketing and asset management systems
Familiarity with security practices including patch management, MFA, and endpoint protection
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware and software
Well-developed written and oral communication skills appropriate for a business context
Experience in a software company or multi-site environment is desirable
Exposure to scripting (PowerShell) for automation and administration tasks is desirable
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments
Manage and support endpoint devices including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices via Intune or equivalent MDM
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Diagnose, resolve, and escalate hardware and software issues in a timely manner
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and platforms
Administer and maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity processes
Support onboarding and offboarding of employees including device provisioning and account setup
Maintain accurate IT asset registers, documentation, and system configurations
Contribute to IT security practices including patch management, vulnerability response, and endpoint protection
Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts
Liaise with vendors and managed service providers to resolve issues and manage procurement
Provide responsive first and second-level support to internal users via phone, email, and in person
